Meiying Chen

Dr. Meiying Chen is a consultant of KaiRong Law Firm. Dr. Chen works as Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at the School of Economic Law, East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL). She holds a Doctor of Laws degree from Nagoya University (Japan), completed postdoctoral research in economic law at ECUPL, and worked as a visiting scholar at the National University of Singapore. She also serves as Director of the Japanese Law Research Center at ECUPL. Her research focuses on corporate law and securities law, with an emphasis on institutional-level studies including the deepening reform of state-owned enterprises, supervision and governance of listed companies, and corporate compliance management. She has received the First-Class Funding of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, presided over provincial and ministerial-level research projects such as those funded by the China Law Society and the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Office, and published dozens of academic papers in core journals at home and abroad. Additionally, he has published a monograph with Peking University Press. She has participated in handling legal matters related to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and corporate governance for Japanese enterprises in Shanghai.
