Dan Yu

Dr. Dan Yu is a consultant of KaiRong Law Firm. She is also an arbitrator of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. Dr. Yu works as Associate Professor and a supervisor for LL.M. students at East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL). She is a member of China Law Society and a council member of Air Law Association of Shanghai Law Society. She specializes in aviation law, international commercial law, has participated in the revisiting of the Civil Aviation Law of the PRC and drafting of the Provisions on the construction of Shanghai international shipping center. In 2010, she was invited as visiting scholar by International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) to do a research on the national implementation of Convention on International Interests in Mobil Equipment. From 2017 to 2018, she was a visiting professor at McGill University (Canada). Dr. Yu has several publications in the field of air law and maritime law. Her publication Study on the private law of aircraft leasing is the first monographs published in Chinese on legal issues of aircraft leasing.
